Actually, a timed exposure would give you that smudged water effect. I still think it's rendered based on general visual cues, but there's nothing specific that makes it obvious.

The texture of the rock and the reflection in the water look extremely rendered, everything else seems fine.

Perhaps real but photoshopped? *shrug*

BWAHAHAHAHA!
It looks rendered, but parts were taken from photos, obviously.

I'd say rendered. There's no ripples or anything in the water. But it's hard to tell because it's a low quality and size picture.

I think it actually LOOKS pretty damn real. however, the actual water is way too calm for it to be real.

I voted rendered.

Real! The rock-water edge line seems too rough to be rendered.

Edit: Oh, and the clouds look real. If it were rendered, they would be more smooth.

NICE! except that pic is missing a big rock on the left, but that could just be because it's taken at a little different angle.

I think that pretty much confirms it's real though.

gotta be real after that second pic of the lake was posted. Before that I'd have said rendered.

What were you doing in my backyard taking pics anyway?

If it really is an actual picture, it was taken in a low light situation where a longer exposure would be needed. This may have caused the small ripples to smooth out such as using a long exposure for a waterfall. The water becomes blurred.
