Maybe a word of caution here with this app and Window XP.
After installing the player the other day ( recent clean install of XP Home )
I started getting BSOD's. Since running XP after it first came out, I have not
had a sigle XP BSOD untill after this app was installed.

I really didn't know the first couple days that it was the Real One untill out of frustration
I started to uninstall recent apps/games I had loaded. But now with the Real One player
uninstalled and using the restore on XP the BSOD's are gone. I'd say stick to the Real
Player 8 for now if you use it.

"Real One" is a piece of crap. Why can't real come up with decent/simple interfaces? On top of that, the damn thing wants control over every single multimedia file type.

Real One was also a suspect in previous problems I had with XP. I ended up reformatting, so I didn't narrow down the problem..

I like reformatting. It makes everything fresh and clean again.

I agree that REALONE is a piece of crap. But I am still using it, but only when I need to do listen/view .RAM files. I have not been getting BSOD or any other weird things from installing it (knock on wood). Have had it installed since the day it came online. I suppose I will switch back to the realplayer that I have saved on CD soon though.
