We were reading out of our book in german today when the word schlong came up... and most people think of that word meaning a man's private parts in german... but our teacher told us that it actaully means snake. And while I can figure out how you can draw a connection between the two (we do use snake for our dicks sometimes in english) does anyone know if that word is accepted in german language as the actual word... or is it just a funny thing for us american's to laugh at

It's the real word, I think it's spelled with an 'a' though, but I don't have my dictionary in front of me so I'm not sure.

<< thank you for that nef but I don't see why it was appropriate for this thread >>

And your reply was? You aren't asking a question or looking for imput of any kind. You made a closed statement, so I made a closed statement.

FFMCobalt, He WAS asking a question, just because it didn't end with a '?'

If that highlighted part was not a question, well cover me with honey and sick fire ants on me.

<< The German word for snake is "schlange"; the Yiddish is "schlong." They are pronounced in the same way, but the Yiddish term has a sexual connotation which the German word lacks. Germans use this word also to refer to a data queue. >>

Holy crap! This guy's my hero...
