Yeah, I saw it. I thought it was a little creepy. Those were all real people with lives, families, and such. THe smoker's lung was really gross. You could tell that it was an art exhibit rather than a science exibit though. Each figure had 1 eye. Plus they all had their body hair, which was rather personal. It is so different than seeing an anatomical skeleton.

I didn't particularly like seeing guys testicles hanging down between their legs, though (no scrotum). And you remember these were real people, and some of them still had eyes (they were plasticized to keep them looking real, same thing they did to about every other part of the body -- muscles, etc -- to keep them "fresh" looking)

There were also a pregnant woman cut open so you could see the child inside her. There were also babies of at least 8-12 different stages of development that had to have been taken from the womb.

There were so many "exhibits" that it really just amazes me that they got that many bodies, and did that much work on them.

So on the one hand, I was grossed out. On the other hand, it was an amazing experiance.
According to the website "Body Donation" application there's a backlog of people already dead and alive but on the list for donating their body to the exhibit and plastination. I would assume (perhaps ignorantly) that even the fetus/birth stages were from a 'ethical' procurement process; though I don't know that I want to know the details there.
