CNet.com review 8/10 stars....Editor's Choice.....but only 64% positive. Then again, lots of the routers have bad reviews. I think the routers performance has a huge correlation with the person's home, other wireless equipement, etc.

edit: PracticallyNetworked.com Review....seems like a decent router....not top-of-the-line

40 bit only? and I don't see external antenne...which hurts range.

If you're looking to get this unit, you may want to check the reviews before buying....

Was editors choice almost a year ago....lot has changed, many newer routers on market....

careful on this one... no port mapping, no dmz. You can have applications that you use get flat out screwed on running some services/apps. 😱

just a thought.
d-links range seems to be better, and linksys similar model can have signal boosters added. Perhaps the extra cash is worth it.

getting a card with 128 encryption means u payed extra for a card with 128 bit encryption, thats running in 40bit mode. Anyway, 802.11b as a general rule: if u enable encryption, bandwidth gets chopped in half 😱.

You can still access websites/apps that use encryption, it just means that the data that you are sending could be packet sniffed, etc. and people could do what they want with it. Seriously though, whos worried about this, 802.11b range isnt that good, someone would have to be sitting on your front porch or on your roof to get ur data if they wanted to...
