I got the same thing, it's for an Activex plugin. If I were you I'd uninstall that immediately and use IE to watch the shows. Not having Activex is what protects FF users from a lot of internet crap. It's not spyware or anything, but it can cause problems.

Edit: apparently it doesn't like IE7 either, I may not be able to watch it 🙁

Edit2: I guess I just needed to restart IE 😱 It works great now. Welcome Back Kotter!! Good stuff, thanks funboy42

...thanks funboy.....

...but there's got to be a catch..somewhere...right? This *is* AOL........
<scratches his head>

But you have to install AOL's proprietary video player to watch them ?
Oh yeah, like I want to do THAT !
I can just GUESS what is hidden in THAT player!

I may be wrong but I know you have to install that to download them not to stream them. I may be wrong but I didnt remember having to install the to watch.

EDIT:
If it shoudl matter I looked in install/un-install and in windows task manager and I didnt see anything AOL related that I could make out and I did install the active x for FF. I also havent rn into any problems yet and running as it did before going to the site.

Is anyone really having any troubles???? I know it is AOL and I feel the same way waiting for the "catch" but I havent come across one and maybe for once, and after the merger, there wont be one?

haha YAY! I never thought I'd say it but GO AOL! 😀

edit: I always thought the side kick (the black guy, dunno his name) would be awesome as Bishop if they ever made an X-Men movie...

edit 2: Doesn't work on Macs 😛

funboy42 you get a great big gold star for this find. Put me in the group that thinks there has to be a catch, but I'll enjoy it for now. i'm checking out the full CD site linked by Nick5234 a few posts above. Fourteen full discs, nearly all are not the least bit interesting to me but there is a very tasty Kelly Joe Phelps one.

EDIT: I tried two TV series (V and Babylon 5) and neither would work with Win2k, XP is required to view.

I keep getting "Network Promotions" and various other comercials when I click through WinAmp. Not just once but in an infinite loop.

Anybody else?

OK after skewing around a bit with items that are not as popular I see why I wasn't getting anything. WinAmp doesn't display details to the effect but I bet the servers are full for the good stuff.

The one "catch" I've noticed is that by installing the AOL software to view the HQ videos, you agree to allow AOL to use your computer to distrubute any videos you download. Essentially you are downloading a file sharing program and allowing them to use your computer. Not a big deal, but just something to be aware of.......

what are we going to do tonight?

I dont see the need to dl and the wife and I just watched 2 eps of Jessie. Damn Christina Applegate hasnt changed one bit with the cold room and the perkies poking 😀

Something really irritating: The TV episodes aren't labelled by episode/season. Some B5 descriptions are duplicated, some are in spanish, etc.

Needs some work.

Pretty sweet regardless. 🙂

LOL suckers, now i wont have to rent La Femme Nikita.

Monkeys, Brisco, Balki, Freddy, and Carlin; this is all too good to be true 😕

They actually have "V". Anyone remember that show? I remember freaking out when they would pull their skin off and under the skin looking like tadpoles or something. Plus having alien babys and such. I still watched it though. Debating on whether I should try watching it again? Now that i'm 29 I may be able to handle it 🙂

Cool find!

Having trouble, though....XP/Firefox. Episodes start fine, go to commercial, but won't play after that....gets stuck on opening frame, or nothing. I can fastforward to the next commercial (which plays fine, of course), but the ep won't start after commercial. :\
