'real DOS' from win2k possible? or any alternatives??? need to flash my DVD drive

to flash my laptop's DVD drive (unlock the region), I need to be running "Real DOS", as the readme which comes with the zip file to crack it says I will not be able to flash using the command prompt from windows.
So, is it possible to enter 'real dos' mode using win2k pro?

Nope, you'll have to use a bootdisk. Or install DOS

how do I use a boot disk if the system never had MS DOS in the first place? Win2k Pro was its native OS.

what? just use a win9x boot disk or any versions of DOS boot disk.
