Haha people are disappointed if their D0/3520 doesn't hit 4.2 with 1.2 volts!

You DO need a damn nice board for high BCLK though.

I explained myself and said I was sorry.. what more can I do?

All is cool. Besides we are both from Florida so we are practically family.

That's a pretty curious errata that was introduced with the D0 stepping. Brand string has always been "GenuineIntel" for as long as I can remember since CPUID was introduced.

How did Intel screw that up???

LOL funny story actually... there is a pre-silicon test to make sure the cpuid has the correct value but for D0 nobody bothered running it. i know the guy who forgot to run that test and everyone has a laugh about the new "i7 9750".

Is that the 950 of 975 you are referring to?

btw I know about some really big cock ups in my profession.

The best one is the demolition company that demolished the wrong house because they got the address wrong; they were supposed to demolish the house across the street!

LOL, it would be one hell of a shock for the owners when they arrived back from work to find their house is rubble. And a hell of an insurance claim for the contractor.

Plus side is that they would be put into rented accommodation whilst their house is re-built, and they would have a new house at the end of it.
