Pickled walnuts are pretty good and you can buy them in most supermarkets. Mushroom ketchup likewise (its ok).
Pickles, table sauces, savory and sweet pies, pasties, huge chunks of roast meats, modern curries, good beer, Yorkshire puddings, proper gravy, roast potatoes, good sausages...English contribution to the culinary world amounts to being a bad example.
You can buy it at Tesco's.Mushroom ketchup (castup) is still made and served in higher-end restaurants there.
Looking at the ingredients of the Worcester Sauce, they is no soybean in the product.Lea & Perrins came up with Worcestershire sauce after trying to replicate fish sauce they encountered in the early 1800's. Ketchup originally was made from MUSHROOMS instead of tomatoes, and occasionally had various nuts ground up in it. Mushroom ketchup (castup) is still made and served in higher-end restaurants there.
BTW-Lea & Perrins is the ONLY legit Worcestershire sauce. French's makes some that tastes like liquid sadness.
sorry my bad, so its mushroom gravy with vinegar? No it isn't mushroom gravy...![]()
Well there is Geo-Watson Mushroom ketchup and also Worcestershire sauce as well.Sure, is there an off-the-shelf brand to try?
