Lea & Perrins came up with Worcestershire sauce after trying to replicate fish sauce they encountered in the early 1800's. Ketchup originally was made from MUSHROOMS instead of tomatoes, and occasionally had various nuts ground up in it. Mushroom ketchup (castup) is still made and served in higher-end restaurants there.

BTW-Lea & Perrins is the ONLY legit Worcestershire sauce. French's makes some that tastes like liquid sadness.

Looking at the ingredients of the Worcester Sauce, they is no soybean in the product.😵😵😵 I would have sworn that this product was made with brew soy sauce and and anchovies along with other things.😵😵😵

I dunno what catsup is (Sup, kitty?), but I eat ketchup.

I've tried many ketchups. I've made many ketchup recipes myself. For me, Heinz is the only way to go. I don't care about any of the others. And I hate it when they refill restaurant Heinz bottles with generic stuff, because it doesn't taste right. Also, McDonalds has terrible ketchup. If you're up for some long-form reading, this is a great article on the situation:

On a tangent, whoever invented the single-serve Dip & Squeeze condiment packages is a genius. I hoard them whenever I go to Chik-fil-a, hahaha:

I'm also a huge Hellman's mayo fan. Unlike ketchup, I do make my own mayo, because you can use it as a base for many other sauces. But I always keep a jumbo bottle of Hellman's in the fridge for taste (good), texture (jello-like), and convenience (always ready to go). DIY mayo with an immersion blender only takes 30 seconds though, and is nice when you want to make like a garlic aioli (purists will complain, but whatever) or buttermilk herbed mayo (a la Shake Shack's chicken sandwich, oh man), etc. Here's the simple technique:

There are zillions of flavor combinations to amp up the taste of your food:

I'm partial to Sriracha-soy & cilantro-lime myself. Plus you can make dope blue cheese with mayo:
