If anyone they should get rid of FDR - the guy that brought us social security. What a great guy.

While I agree FDR didn't have the forsight for SS, he had no idea how much of a population boom there would be after the war. And for what it's worth, FDR made up for it by saving this country's ass.

In addition, SS was horribly mismanaged... I wouldn't replace FDR with Reagan.

Hamilton may not have been prez, but he was the first secretary of the Treasury under Washington. While secretary, he secured the traditional strength of American finance... chiefly responsible for establishing US credit. I don't think he should be replaced with Reagan, either.

Under Hamilton's Report on the Public Credit, the debt to the GNP ratio was equal to that of the Great Depression, and the only reason things stablized was due to Albert Gallatin cutting the National debt in half. Now, Hamilton's plan seems like a great idea, but if it wasn't for Gallatin, things could have gone a completely different way.

hearing the so called "liberal" media fawn over him for several days now is enough. currency or other madness..thats just too far. he was far from perfect, the people supporting these things are just trying to create a heroic icon to further their political agenda.
