ive had all the luck with Memorex DVD+Rs. not 1 bad burn.

try -R media?

I too burned with Memorex DVD +R (using Shrink and Nero);
thanks to my own stupidity the very first one was a nice coaster but since then everything is good.

Hope you have a better luck with your next burner.
