A 3DLabs Wildcat? You must have a good reason for choosing that :)

Why the wildcat? And maybe throw in a couple panaflo L1A's if they still have them (not sure if they come tailed or not though).

Well the reason for the Wildcat is I'll be doing DCC (Digital Content Creation) and it has specific drivers and optimizations for programs I will be using like Discreet's 3D Studio Max. As for the L1A's, don't know how well it would fit in that Shuttle.

The SN41G2 is Soundstorm certified.....so save some $$ and hold off on the Audigy2.

Yeah, perhaps spend the money on dual monitors instead? That might come in really useful.

Why Corsair LLPT??? I think you can save a whole bunch by going other ways. Crucial or Kingston?? Mushkin is not too bad too.

Update: Switched the memory to OCZ 1GB (512MB x 2) Dual Channel Optimized DDR PC-3200 - $273 and dropped the soundcard...total is now $1703, looking for even cheaper memory and perhaps monitor, this is great!

LOL, I suppose that's the best you can do now unless you want a Xp2100 and oc it. :D Many have hit 2.16ghz without problems :p That will save you about 50 bucks. :D

One question, is the SN41G2 a necessity?? Don't wanna build a rig from bare case like a chieftec or other server case??? It'll be cheaper. :)

I went with the case and such...also went with a KDS XF-9E 19" CRT for $185 (perfect flat and not at all a bad monitor)...I'm down to an incredible $1250.26...

PS: Just did the math...I could get a PNY nVidia QuadroFX 2000 and still be UNDER $2K...this is crazy.
