Hmm, not as solid as the Opterons, that's true, but with that mobo, you should get at least 2.5 - 2.6GHz, if not more... Of course, YMMV, for better or for worse... (although it will probably be better ;))

Thanks guys.....i have one question though

i had trouble putting on the CPU fan and i took it of a few times while trying to work it out and the Thermal Paste became blotchy is that a big deal?

I ended up getting it on but with a great deal of pressure!

is that normal?

Thanks for the like to DFI street too!

whoa a floppy drive!

the thermal past does get squished around when you put on the heat sink.

you should put no more than a paper thin layer of thermal paste on, if you're applying it yourself. if it's the standard gum stuff from the bottom of the heat sink then that is fine. it will actually melt a bit and then set over the course of the first couple days of use.

as long as you put both in yellow, or both in orange, it doesn't matter. just don't put one in yellow and one in orange.

Ah k cool......there both in yellow!!

I found i had to push hard to get the ram to sit into the slots, normal?

also yes i did pull the clips back first but i had to use the clips to help secure the ram properly
