I am a guy who buy a whole system each cycle. so upgradibilty isn't an issue for me.
I have super lanboy and am about to order coolergiant EG485P=VHB from outpost deal. will the psu fit into that case? I heard it's inch longer than usual ones.
is coolergiant psu any good? I did read some reviews but would like to know what others think.

I need to get 1 agp and 2 pci video cards for running 6 monitors. I don't play game, so 3D is not important.
actually I've been ok with on-board video with my 4 year old compaq presario 7478.
but it crashes bad resently and I need to get more monitors for my business use. whew~ I don't know which ones to go.
can you recommend some? it must have dual inputs and no compatible isue each other. my budget for video cards is $200.
your input will be appreciated.

Looks good... you may want to find a more reliable rand of PSU. I have never heard of "coolergiant". You want to stick with quality companies like Fortron, antec, enermax, etc. A quality 350W PSU should be plenty for that system.

If you don't plan on any gaming, just get an AGP geforce TI4200 and a couple of PCI geforce2 MX400 cards.

thanks for the reply.

Coolergiant is the USA subsidiary of Enermax Group. so I thought it's quilty one. isn't it?

btw I need to get a wired router. which one is the best bang for the buck?

thanks.

Never tried out Soltek, there may be better options dont know. Dont you want a bigger hard drive? If you dont game, you will see NO differance from a 500 dollar video card and 50 dollar one so get the cheapest possible video card for your needs and get a bigger hard drive.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that PSU is fine, it;s made by Enermax.

my current computer has 30g hdd. I'm only using 3g of it.
so I don't need any big one. I was getting 36g raptor but heard performance difference not that much. so decide to do with sata.
hmm maybe I'm wrong. yet I'm learning.

thanks.

Oh, okay then, everything looks good then but I cant give you info on the motherboard.

if it's retail then it comes with the heatsink and some thermal compound. If you want a quieter solution (this one defineatly won't be silent) you'll need to get an aftermarket heatsink. If you're going to do that, might as well go "all out" and spend $5 on a tube of arctic silver thermal compound.

btw soltek is a good brand. I've had s soltek for a good 3 years without a single problem.

which one is the best in this league?

ATI 9200SE, ATI 9250, GeForce MX4000, GeForce FX5200

they are same price range. so I will go with one of them.

OK, about the power supply, you have picked out a great power supply for sure (I am about to get one since my antec is dying) but it is WAY OVERKILL for the system you are builing. You can get plenty of power for that system in the $40-50 range and use the extra cash for the next-highest CPU or something.

I think $60 is a waste for a 40gig hard drive, when you can get an 80gig for the same price, other than that everything looks good.

Multiple cards from either vendor should work flawlessly, just dont mix ati and nvidia, their drivers dont play well together.
