It's on like donkey kong down here in Texas. But winter is coming sooner than normal for the Megatomic family, we're moving to NY next week.

Where about?

I need to clean out my fire-pit. My yard has so many trees I never have to buy fire wood. We just use whatever sticks and branches fall off during the year and the supply usually lasts all winter.

I hate winter. Having to walk to class in the f8ckin' wind and cold. And it gets dark so early :(.

Same. Last winter Columbus got pounded by storm after storm, had so much damn snow. Walking to class just sucked. And having to do PT inside also really blows.
Once school starts up in a little over 3 weeks, at least I'll get the better part of a quarter with decent weather before winter rears its mighty head. Winter quarter blows. Spring quarter kicks major ass. :)

Spring quarter is awesome, it's just that sometimes the winter likes to hang around in Chicago :(. It was in the 50s all of this past May.

I know how ya feel. It was that way in the spring in Columbus too. There was some weeks of awesome warmth in April iirc, and then May wasn't exactly awesome. A week or two of it was nice, but not as awesome as the year before.

I love sitting around a fire on a cool fall evening.

My job is in Dresden, I'll be living in or near Clifton Springs. What town are you in?

Yup ... moved to the west coast of Canada this past summer, and look forward to a winter without -60 degrees celcius :) Of course, I can still hop a ferry and take a short drive and get to Whistler to go skiing, so I'm OK that I'll be living without snow for a while.

winter sucks

1 - Days are still 24 hours long in winter.

2 - It usually doesn't get too terribly cold here. It's only really bad when it dips below 0°.

3 - Driving isn't dangerous if you're not an idiot.

4 - We have evergreen trees all over.

5 - Snowshoeing, snow camping, skiing, snowboarding, etc.

Winter is awesome.
