Is there a software where the computer reads the text that I type?

I remember seeing this on old Mac.

I need one for PC (win xp). (hopefully there's a FREE one)

Narrator (really basic reader) ships with Windows XP (one of the Accessibility apps in Accessories)

I assume you searched Download.com and Google?
 
I tried narrator, but it seems like it cant 'read' whatever i type.

what should be the keyword to search for?
