Reading material for your kids?

Given the nature of the site, I suggest the only folks asking anyone to read these books are the publishers. The rest of the story seems to pop fresh out of the head of a rightwing blogger. But you're right; it is kind of sickening.

Two of the books on Obama your kids are expected to read?
According to who? Proof? Link?

I'm curious as well. Michelle Malkin, whom that site uses as its source, does not count.

We're gonna spread happiness
We're gonna spread freedom
Obama's gonna change it
Obama's gonna lead 'em

We're gonna change it
And rearrange it
We're gonna change the world.

These books are like the "commemorative" Obama coins and other crap that were sold after the election. They figure they can make money with an Obama kids book and that's why it was published. That's not socialism, it's capitalism.

I dug through the mess of partisan blogs, but I could not find a single legitimate source that links these books to the speech.

Can you please link to any semi-respectable source that shows that these books were, at any time, required or suggested reading for students before or after the speech?

The only right Republicans have to be angry is that Obama is beating them at their own game. They pulled the same kind of shit with the American people for many years, only they used Christ as their spokesman. They also tried to use Joe the Plumber but that didnt work out so well.

As for me: I think Obama is a great guy but this worship of him is scary. In 3 more years he will be a demi-god. I am afraid if he doesnt win the next election there will be a race war.

How come it's the Democrats that always wind up being worshiped and never assholes like Ronald Reagan?

Why wouldn't most people worship someone who gives them anything they want? People like Reagan who expect you to do for yourself are never popular among the crowd who expects everything and gives nothing.

Joke? People speak of Reagan like he is Christ. At least Republicans do.

Heil Obama, the savior
Just close your eyes and picture him in your thoughts, trust in him, soon all your worries will be gone... enter the path to eternal bliss........

Let me see here...So the site you link to cites Michelle Malkin's blog as its source, who cites Hotair.com, a conservative "news" site...yep, about as "fair and balanced" reporting as you can get

Yeah....that is pure weapons-grade bolonium. It is blogs like that which have us all neck-deep in FUD. None of the people currently complaining would be doing so if this was done in the 80s by Reagan....which iirc Reagan did to the same extent as Obama is doing now. Sheesh...

What I am amazed by is that anyone still believes the right wing crazies. I mean does anyone actually think that Obama's DOE included those books as part of his speech, honestly? What I'm most surprised by is the fact that even though the ultra-right keeps peddling these insane thing, the next crazy thing they get will be met with the same credulity.

Hahahaha. People like Reagan because they were as big of an idiot as he was. Plus he said Jesus a lot, and that a good way to win votes.
