they are talking about casting the role of Sue Storm.
the name Alba comes up, assumidly, this Alba.

experiment626 calls her a "token" and people agree (well, not that she is an expample of "token" black casting) but they seem to see it being odd that there would be a black woman in this role.
my question:
jessica alba is black?

Sue is supposed to be blonde, as is her brother, and her son. If they do otherwise for the movie, they will have to change the other characters.

Jessica Alba can't act worth a damn anyway.

Maybe not, but I bet she could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch.

Of course she can, how do you think she got a job acting in the first place?

I thought Jessica Alba was of hispanic descent. Of course, the idgits at AICN would probably think she is black....

thanks!
i really didnt know she wasnt white.
i feel like if it werent for people at AICN and other sources saying things like "ethnic minority is playing a white character" a vast majority of the audience wouldnt know.

Technicaly she is "white."

Unless they are actually black Hispanics are listed as being "white" racially.

Thats why on some survey stuff if they want to know who is anglo saxon white, the list them as "white non-hispanic."

Looks like it's been confirmed, Alba has been cast, and this movie will now officially suck balls.

Kiss of death

Jessica Alba has been cast as the Susan Storm (aka Invisible Girl) for 20th Century Fox's upcoming Marvel Comics adaptation Fantastic Four, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Alba, who also stars in the upcoming Sin City and Into the Blue, is said to have beat out stiff competition for the role that included Rachel McAdams and Elizabeth Banks.

She joins cast members Michael Chiklis (Benjamin Grimm/The Thing), Ioan Gruffudd (Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic), and Chris Evans (Johnny Storm/The Human Torch). The four develop superpowers when their spaceship is exposed to cosmic radiation.

Tim Story is set to direct from a script by Simon Kinberg.
