reading a Mac CD on Windows?

Is there a way or a software that can help me read a Mac OS CD on Windows?

When i put it in Windows sees nothing on it, obviously because of the format that Mac's use.

Any ideas?

The CD is probably using HFS or HFS+, good lucking finding a free HFS(+) filesystem driver for Windows.

what about if i just want to make a backup of the cd for a friend?
just so you all know its a Mac OS 9 cd and my friend has not cd burner and i only have a pc.

While this doesn't address your question, you can get a OS 9.1 cd from Other World Computing for $36.99 plus shipping. As long as your friend has a G3 or better Mac it should work fine. Not as cheap as making your own back up but it isn't too bad.

what about if i just want to make a backup of the cd for a friend?

Your burning software might be able to copy it without actually reading the format, just do a bit-for-bit copy, but it depends on the software and I don't know if any Wndows software can do that since I don't use Windows much anymore.

Nero? CD to CD? only problem is i can't tell if it works since i can't read the disk.

Have your friend test it out.
Go on ebay and get a spare disc.
Realize that OS 9 is dead and move on.
