As I was frantically writing down lecture notes, something written (looked like a 2nd grader wrote it) on the desk caught my attention.

I took a risk of falling behind notes, and paused from writing breifly to read it...

it said,

"The first step to failure is trying."

I let the logic and genious behind that quote sink in, and prompty packed up and left class.

My life is changed.

sounds like a simpsons quote...

"You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is 'never try'." -- Homer Simpson"

I was expecting something a little more profound, perhaps a "Here I sit, all broken hearted. Came to sh!t, but only farted."

You: I'm sorry you took out a $12,000.00 loan for my education Mom and Dad, but "The first step to failure is trying."

That doesn't really make sense

if you try, you may still not fail. however, if you don't try at all, you fail 100% of the time. ?_?

How can you fail at a certain activity if you never attempt it?

I've never run a John Deere skid steer loader before, but I've run numerous others. I am certain that I'd have no difficulty with using any other; what makes you say that I fail at it before I attempt it?

Sorry but that just reminds me of another famous quote.

"Try not! Do. Or do not. There is no try."
