As I've mentioned before, I never cared about the RE series, even though I've been surrounded by hardcore fans of the series with friends and family.
I'd have to say that if it wasn't for Sheva, I would've never paid any attention to this. So yes, the marketing work:
I bought the game yesterday 😀
Even though they don't go to extremely low exploiting like say a game such as Onechanbara Samurai Bikini Squad, Rumble Roses or Dead or Alive.
I didn't buy the game specifically because of Sheva, but it got me curious of the game and made me pay a little more attention, which I ended up downloading the demo, and the gameplay was pretty fun, which otherwise I would've just dismissed the game like I have the last few releases. Seeing Sheva run around in game, and with some fan service camera shots of the cut scenes was just an added bonus. It's pleasing to the eyes, instead of constantly having to see Chris' shoulders. I might even try to unlock the outfits. 😱
Gawd, I sound like a horny teenager now, even though I'm in my 30's. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a sad thing. LOL
And what about the men that are not infatuated with the female body? Is that why we are seeing more "soft" men in magazines and clothing catalogs? Just a hhmmmm thought question of the moment.

I don't see a problem with this. As long as men are infatuated with the female body, it will be used.
