This is related to a thread I was reading yesterday. Some guy had a dilemma needing USB support in NT. From what I gathered from the thread, NT doesn't support USB. Now, I'm kinda shooting from the hip here, so bear with me. Unfortunately I've not had the pleasure of experimenting with every Windows OS ever released. But, here is what I'm thinking. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would feel confident in assuming that Windows 2000 supports USB. Now if my understanding of the OS is correct, it's more or less a combination of NT and 98..YES or NO?? Now, here is my idea, granteed I may be way out in left field on this one, it wouldn't be the first time. But let's say, just for the sake of argument, provided one was able to "acquire" a copy of Win2K, would it be possible to install the USB drivers from Win2K onto an NT machine and fix the problem. Thus giving the NT macine USB capability. Granted this is just a theory, and more than likely the Win2K drivers wouldn't be backwards compatible with NT anyway. IMHO.
Thx in advance for the information.
