I thought they were called twats?

So...you're saying that Twitter users, also known as twats, send tweets? 😛

"I tot I taw a puddytat!"
or should that be:

"I tot I tweeted a puddytwat?"

I've never twittered, but if I update my facebook status a couple of times per day, isn't that just as bad?

regardless of the facebook whoring, between here and TFNN, I have around 60,000 posts since late 2004/early 2005.

I think we can safely say that I'm on the internet more than the average person. 0_0

I might as well start twittering and call it a career.

So how is this any different from facebook status messages?

Facebook just made their status messages more twitter-like with their last update. They changed the focus from "what are you doing" to "what's on your mind", removed the pre-filled "is" to emphasize that, and most importantly they made multiple "status messages" from the same person show up in other people's "feeds." Previously when you changed your status message, the old one would essentially disappear (except from your "profile").

Whose Twitter are you looking up...

In all seriousness though, I enjoy using it. It's simple and allows me to catch up on breaking news stories, search for people tweeting about a topic I like, and follow "celebrities", or the few that actually tweet themselves and don't use a publicist *cough, Obama, cough* It's a way more powerful networking tool than facebook.

You'll think it's a POS for the first few months, then get into it after some time.

And I find these changes thoroughly annoying.

I hate twitter. I hate facebook. I hate myspace.

Basically then, you have no life. But we already knew that, you didn't have to confirm it for us.

... He "doesnt have a life" because he doesnt use trendy social networking sites? I dont know about you but I go out plenty and NEVER have the urge to post about it online. I dont need my friends to see pictures of me drinking a beer for me to feel cool. If anything the facebook/myspace crowd seem to be the ones who care the most about what other people think. Theyre the same ones who's stories always have to be better than everyone else's. Basically there the people most of us want to stay away from.

I just wanted to say you must be the greatest person on earth because I never knew you hated the three social networking sites but am glad to see you just had to say it when the thread just mentions one of their names. You must be so happy up there.

Bingo!!, attention whores who use the intrawebs as a conduit. Every time some one takes a crap it has to be logged and blogged about, a colossal waste of time IMO...
