I may have gone for it when I was younger and single but not these days. Still I don't see why it should be illegal.
Because it's illegal there is no STD testing, no clue how old the prostitute is, nothing.
If they legalized it, it would give men or women who are single an outlet. Instead of going out and date raping some poor person, they can find a legal prostitute. By making it legal it can be regulated. No person under 18, prostitute must apply for and get approved for a license. A clean bill of health and frequent checkups to make sure that the prostitute is clean. Education with license so the prostitute knows how to practice safe sex reducing risk of std's, also they can learn just what they are getting into which can stop a lot of people from making the mistake of getting into prostitution. And of course, what the government always loves, sales tax. I think countries like Germany have this system and it works fine.

Hmm, does anyone live in or frequent the Las Vegas area? Any area where it's legal? How does it do there? Are there a lot of problems or is it better because of legalization?

Do a search on Nevada brothels. You would be amazed at how clean and professsional these places are. Grade A US inspected and certified clean and healthy sex with a strange person for a fee.A healthy fee. Bring your wallet. Or your purse, if thats your thing. Just expect to pay for what you get. The women come from all walks of life,some have families,husbands, education,and stock options. Most are quite wealthy. They do this job because they like it,it's safe,it's respected, andin Nevada,its legal. It's the oldest proffesion on earth,and unlike someone elses assement,these are not whores----That would get your ass kicked in a Nevada brothel. They are prostitutes,ladies of the night,escorts, not whores. A whore gives it away. You will get nothing free,not even a desease, from these women.

BTW, they will shoot you and leave your body in the desert if you think you are going to rob them or cause trouble. They have guards on duty,and full protection. I used to know a private pilot that flew guests to the Chicken Ranch from Las Vegas round trip. That is my source of info. Along with truckers stories who used to drive I80 across the north end of the state. Truckers are good customers for the brothels. They are alone and horney,and all the brothels have free showers for truckers,good food and alcohol. Don't worry, most drivers I talked to do not drive after inbibing. They still make there living on the road. They must have 12 hours between the last drink and driving on duty.

I think it should be legal for all the reasons listed in previous posts.
Making it illegal definitely hasn't worked.
