I have a keyboard (non-english), that has three extra buttons (Power, Sleep & Wake)where the PrintScreen, Scroll Lock and Pause buttons would normally be. I don't like vey much the idea of turning off my computer when what i actually wanted was a screenshot.

So, is there a proggie of some sort that let's me reconfigure these keys? I would like to turn them into Cut/Copy/Paste, since it would be much more helpful and certainly less dangerous.

Edit: little typos

Americans are really brainwashed ... tsc tsc. I'm not flamming you guys, as I once lived in the US. But american patriotism really disgusts me. Just my opinion ...

Back to the topic ... well, I've seen these keys with US-English keyboards, so it isn't specs/outaspecs. There must be a way to interfere with these keys, since when I press them, they send a signal to windows for shutdown/sleep/wake.

There must be a way ...

oh ... and I just read that these keys are supported by the PC '98 specs (Power Managment Stuff). So it's not just some foreign idea.

Those keys are damn annoying. Sorry though, don't know how you'd remap them. If you turn off power management, windows should at least ignore them...

Is it windows listening to the keys, or third party software? I didn't know it was a psuedo-standard, the extra power/sleep keys..

I don't think it's any third party software. My boss has two keyboards like that, and they did not come with any software. I never tried them out because I have APM disabled on all of his computers.
