You are 100% correct.
I just want to make sure I understand the rules.

When some people complained about the way the Chinese government handled the reconnaissance plane incident, there were vociferous screams of 'racism'.
(To the best of my knowledge the Chinese are not, in and of themselves, a 'race')

Comments about other nationalities, however, seem to be totally accepted.
To wit:

A) WTF is a liberal repubican? Is that like a sober Irishman?

B) How do you get a polish guy to kick his heroin addiction?

Give him a plastic spoon.


Apparently calling the Irish drunks and the Polish stupid drug addicts is not considered derogatory.
