Do you just go to add/remove programs and take em out and then install new ones? I thought there was more finesse involved? I have a 9000 pro and I just got into the 3dmark thing, having some fun with that.
BTW, my system is a 1.4 tbird, 256meg pc2100, ATI radeon 9000pro/64meg ... I'm getting 6441 .. that seems low to me, is it?

Are you talking about upgrading to a newer version of Catalyst ATI drivers?

If so, it is actually a fairly convuluted operation, and I reccomend heading over to this page which provides a detailed step-by-step process of just exactly what to do. Good luck!

I think your score sound about right. I got ~6500 with a GF3 and a Tualatin P3 1.4 GHz, and the GF3 and R9000Pro are supposed to be very close in performance (with a slight not going to the GF3). If you had a faster CPU, your score would most definatly increase.

The method you originally proposed will probably work fine.

As the author of the guide says THIS GUIDE IS NOT INTENDED FOR USERS WHO DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.

Just for reference, running the same GF3 with an Athlon 1800+ and DDR gave a score of ~7500, and running it with a P4 2.4 gave ~8200.
