Re-enable the Smart Fan Control for the CPU after Overclock?

For the purpose of overclocking my E8400 on the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L board I disabled the CPU Enhanced Halt, CPU EIST and the Smart Fan Control for the CPU.

After finally getting stable @3.6ghz (needed 1.325v to the CPU) I read that one can re-enable CPU Halt and EIST. But how about the Smart Fan Control? I had a nice quiet setup with the Antec P182 case and Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, but with the fan running full bore I have lost that feature.

It really depends on whether you value low noise, or better cooling. I disable smart fan control because I prefer full-bore cooling, and a variable speed fan is more annoying to my ears than a static droning sound.

I enabled smart fan control after my overclock could gain only 50-90mhz turning it on.
Most of the time nice and quiet.( exept full load and ambients above 22 c)
