Re-Applying Thermal Paste...

Hey all,

I have an OC AMD64 3000+ running @ 2250, which i could get stable but HOT @ 2400...!

Anyway I now have an Arctic Cooling Freezer64 (not PRO but still pretty awesome!) which i want to replace my rubbish sub-stock HSF with.

It came with some Thermal Compound which is not Arctic Silver - but am sure will be good enough for my purposes...

Anyway I have read a lot of threads concerning how to apply AS to AMD64 but my Thermal Compond looks a little thicker... and on the instructions that came with the AC Freezer it shows the Compond evenly spread over the CPU before the HSF is applied! Stating '...evenly apply a thin film of paste over the CPU'

So, i'm guessing i should do like they say?

If so what is the best method of geting a nice even, thin spread?

thanks all!
