RDRAM trouble

i am running WINXP with a 1.8 pent 4. I got 4 sticks of RDRAM. the computer would run fine and then it would just crash and then restart once i opened to much. so i thought that maybe once i started opening enough it would start using more of the RAM sticks and that maybe one was faulty. so i took out two and it still did it. then i did a whole bunch of different combinations until i found a match that worked. is it broken RAM or is it something else? if it were broken RAM would it have stayed open that long?

the only sugestion i can make is that its a knows fact that a lot of ram, ie. 4 full slots, create instability. sorry thats all i can tell you. good luck.
