RDRAM overheating....

I've got an Intel D850GB motherboard (with RDRAM), and I'm having some problems keeping the RAM cool. My little temperature alarm thing goes off at 50°C (122°F). First off, do you guys think that is where the alarm should be set at? Those were the default settings that came with my monitoring program (Intel Active Monitor), so I assumed they were somewhat correct, but I'm not sure.

Since the alarm was going off all the time, I took one of the front mounted fans off (wasn't doing much anyway) and kind of jammed it between some cables so its sitting on top of the RAM but not really affixed to anything. If I tried to move the computer it would probably fall out of place. Right now it's only a temporary solution, and it prevents the RAM from reaching 50°C. I would like to know however, if there is a better way to cool the RAM or if there is some kind of special fan that will attach itself to the RAM.

Any help is appreicated. Thanks again!

50c seems a little hot, is there any way to add more cooling to your case/cpu? i'm adding a second exhaust fan to my lian li p60 as my system runs at 42c under load. svc has the thermaltake active memory cooling kit for $7.00 which could be modded to your memory. however i would recomend adding an L- bracket to the drive cage and mounting a 60mm or larger fan off of it, they cost less than a buck at the local hardware store. not sure about your alarm temp i would set mine a few degrees cooler than the throttle temp of the cpu just to be safe.
