rdp client for ios8?

Someone I know had been using the 2x rdp client for several years on his ipad to connect into his Windows desktop machine. Now since updated to ios8, the app is broken, and wants an alternative.

Not owning an ipad myself, I am not capable of testing the alternatives.

Microsoft's own official rdp client seems by the reviews in the app store also has a serious compatibility flaw with the most current ios update.

Looking for an alternative that will work well, given that I don't know how long it will be before these other apps are updated to full compatibility with the latest ios. Thanks!
 
I used to use the Microsoft one when I was testing an iPad Air. It worked well and never had issues. I only used it in a pinch though and never for long periods.

For iOS 8 he'd be best suited testing out some various apps and seeing what works best.
