So...we're coming up on a month after the Socket AM2 launch.
ATi's RD580 northbridge chipset has been out there for several months now, and there was a big to-do about how it would work flawlessly with AM2 without any modifications.

So why are the only motherboards out there based on nVidia chipsets? Everything I need to build my AM2 rig is in stock at Newegg. Except an RD580 motherboard from DFI or Asus.

I have my eye in particular on the Asus M2R32-MVP Deluxe. I know the board exists. I have seen pictures of it in both brown and black PCB colors. I want one.

Does anybody, ANYBODY, have any information?

the ASUS M2R32-MVP should start sampling in July. I've heard that the only RD580 motherboard that should hit the shelves in a couple of weeks is the MSI K9A PLATINUM.

Gary Key says the M2R32-MVP won't hit retail for another 3-4 weeks.

Thanks for the info, guys.

Are there any RD580 boards available for AM2 yet?
I didn't see any on newegg.com
