RCN Cable Modem Problems

Hi, i just moved into my new place and got a new cable modem from RCN. it is a Zoom modem. I am able to connect to the internet and hubs on direct connect and such however i am unable to recieve multiplayer online game servers. I mean it looks for them but it cant find them. I have turned my personal firewall off but i am unable to play multiplayer games as it finds no servers. I am also unable to connect to audiogalaxy..any ideas?

are you trying to join a server or setup your own ? and which game? Quake3 ?

I know the Quake3 in-game browser has been busted for a while and doesnt show any servers.. I use a 3rd party tool called All-Seeing-Eye which is very nice linked -- give that a shot.

As far as audiogalaxy not working -- not sure on that one, but I have rcn cable and I use morpheus just fine.

hey well the audiogalaxy started working. the games that i was trying were counterstrike and Return to castle wolfenstein.. it looked for the servers and never found them..what does the app that youtalked about do? thaks - k

the all-seeing-eye lets you connect to servers of several games including the ones you are trying to play.

it's bascically a better version of the in-game browser -- more info, buddy list, etc ...

its a small download, just try it and see if that works.
