RCA universal remote programming (help me)

OK, I tried for an hour off and on again to find info on RCA universal remotes. My wife managed to fall asleep on ours and it seems as thuogh through some magic that a new "code" got put in or something. Ironically after years of b!tching to put the remote on the night stand when not in use.

Now the code numbers are a snap to find. I did that. It's the process of reprogramming it and getting the remote to accpet the code.

I have what is most similar to the RCU300 here, but that is not my remote. It has all the same exact functions except for the "code search" button. Mine does not have that button. Actually, just grab the manual here to see a good pic of the remote and instructions. You see though, the problem is that this remote uses the "code search" button in part to enter the "codes".

Anyone out there got mine? Mine is more colorful and slightly more logically laid out. Please help me. I could swear mine uses the power and TV buttons somehow to get the remote to take a new code.

CLIFF NOTES:
1) Have universal RCA remote (3 in 1)
2) Can't find manual online, mine mising.
3) BTW: I have tried google
4) How do I reprogram my 3 in 1 RCA universal remote if I have the codes but no idea hwo to ener them into the remote.

UPDATE: Found the model number! RCR311B

I'll give thata whirl in a bit... see "friends left guiness in my fridge thread".

There's going to be a model number somewhere on yours, in the battery compartment on a sticker or something. It'd be more useful.

Edit:

AHhahaha, I looked all over the surface. Took off the batter cover, removed the batteries. Even read the text in teh battery compartment that said 1.5V -R6 or something like that. To my horror, no model number is o nthe remote itself😕

hold device button for 5 secs - light will light.

enter code

push stop button and test.

EDIT: maybe enter button, or maybe not needed (see light).

IUrony....the codes I found were wrong. My remote has 4 digit codes. And I still can't find instruction for programming hte darn thing.

If all else fail, buy another one. Those one for all remotes are so cheap these days. Mine was $4.99.
