RC5 questions

just a couple of quickies

1) can I set it up so only RC5 runs? it keeps wanting to do OGR also. (linux and windows)

2) can I use the same email address for separate clients? I have dnet running on my LInux desktop at home but put it on my laptop (ususally win2K) last night. do I need to keep them separate, or can they share the same address?

Thanks

1) Yes, set option 2:10 -- "Additional Buffer Level Checking" -- equal to 4. That will tell the client to work only on the open project with the highest priority, as set in option 2:9. This works for me under Windows and Mac OS, but I don't have a Linux box so I can't test it out there.

If that doesn't work, you can use a more drastic measure to force the client to work only on RC5. Go to option 2:9 and replace "OGR" with "OGR=0." This means that the client will never work on OGR. The downside to this is that if RC5 ended tomorrow (unlikely, but possible), your clients would simply stop working. So don't use this option if the first option works.

2) Yes, that is entirely possible. Some people here (myself included) have RC5 running on dozens of machines. That's how our stats get so high! 😉

Good luck! 😀

It's Saturday morning and I haven't had my cup of coffee yet. 😉

By this afternoon I'll cut that time in half! 😉 😀
