So I got ATM (another task manager), and my DNETC.exe is averaging about 50%...the ATM itself is taking up 5 or 6%, so add that on, and my DNETC.exe is only getting around 55%. I have some memory hog problems. Im currently on NetZero, which is taking up about 10%, any way to lower that? I also have AOL (dont laugh, isnt my decision. My parents are AOL-brainwashed). Which takes up around 5% when used (less than netzero). Kernel32 is taking up about 2%. Explorer.exe is taking up 20%. MSGSRV32.exe is taking up about 2%. The rest of the stuff is under 1%. Any way to change this stuff?

Whack ATM? As in close it? Then I cant see how fast the stuff is going 😛 Is there a website or something where I can find ways to optomize the settings there?

Are you running power management?
Do you use any screen savers?
Are you running task scheduler?

<< Explorer.exe is taking up 20%. >>

This is not normal. Are you running Active Desktop?
Have you run an Antivirus scan lately? Which one?

Exactly what version of Windows are you running? Right click on My Computer an tell us what it says under System.

Oh. No screen savers, I have automatic windows power management on, and task scheduler is up right now, and I dont know why. Its not usually. Should I turn them all on or off?
