Id like to know, because my temps are around 50-52C when running RC5. Isnt this a little too hot? Idle is around 32C. Im using an FOP 32 and arctic silver applied to the core.
Thanks!

I've one system with that. As usual, these readings of Socket A CPUs aren't really accurate for comparision.

But i had it on an MSI K7TPro2. Using 1.8V and FOP38 with the default thermal pad.

System temperature is 32 degrees, CPU temperature peaked at 46 degrees when running RC5 and wouldn't go higher. Readings taken using MBM5.

Using MBM5 on my TBird 900 with FOP38 and some cheap, badly applied thermal compound shows 47 degrees C as the highest I go.

Thanks guys! Actually had the delta fan attached to the heatsink before, but the wife found it too noisy for comfort; messed up the moods;). Temperatures were about the same as you were getting. SO the temp difference, 6-8C from the delta to the YS techfan is something to take note of as per performance/noise is concerned.

Thanks for pointing that Dennis. The FOP38 and FOP32 are the same heatsinks with the fans only different, with the FOP38 having the black delta fan(7200rpm) and the FOP32 having the YS tech fan(4200 rpm).

I've got both at the moment. No other thermal grease in pocession else i'd pop off the FOP32 and try the 38. I swapped the YS-tech fan for the Delta on my FOP32. Temps improved 3 degrees.

I switched back to the YS-Tech fan. Peace at last!

Amusingly, the temperatures are the same as before. I'm still wondering why.
