it's too big.

It should be 1" by 2" by .1" and have a 50 foot plasma screen. That would be cool. And weigh .1oz

The RAZR phone feels insanely cheap and flimsy in person. I was actually unimpressed by it.... RAZRberry will likely be the same

More info. You have to register to dl the powerpoint presentation.

Not thrilled with the battery life, but for its size, it's to be expected. Just put the ruler to my blackberry 7230, basically the Franklin will be the same size, slightly less wide, but half as thick. That's sick.

Just downloaded the presentation--don't bother, no other info except on some other, already released PPCs. And some already known info on the HTC Universal.

$199?!?! if you think this is going to be any less than twice that amount at launch, you are out of your mind. the regular razr debuted at $399. ridiculous if you ask me.

$599 and $499 with Cingular 2 year contract.

This device in particular, no, but MS & co. is going to be pushing HARD on RIM over the next year.

yea but that could be good for us RIM people. Maybe RIM will keep improving their product as well.

We'll see. Like I said, I love my Blackberry, and BES is the sh1t currently, but they need to step it up to compete with MS, especially since MS will basically be releasing a competing product to BES for free (Exchange 2003 SP2). RIM really needs to get their ass in gear and release the Blackberry Connect software for more devices (or is it the providers slowing down this process? Could never understand that).

Get used to "the bloat." Everything is heading towards convergence. Look at the (POS) Treos and how well they're doing. Hell, look at the new bberries compared to the older ones like the 957...picture viewers, color screens, etc.

RIM's fighting with NTP isn't helping their current situation either.

right, but what I am saying is if MS pushes RIM, RIM will hopefully be inclined to keep improving their product which is good for us BB users.

That's nice. :cookie:
This thread has nothing to do with the RAZR, by the way. Now go on and run along, kiddie.

I agree. Its going to come down to what is easier to use. The ipod won the mp3 player battle becasue it had an intuitive interface and and a very small learning curve. MS isn't known for either.

I'd say apple is winning because of marketing. You are right though, Blackberry OS is simpler to use than anything MS offers at the moment. Although, with a scroll wheel and an improved today screen, the same functionality of the ribbon menu can be had with this device (I see it has a scroll wheel).
