RAZR v9m voicemail

I have a V9M with Alltel. If I have a new voicemail waiting I can go to Menu > Messages > Voicemail and it displays

3 New Messages
1 Urgent Messages
4 Saved Messages

But if I dont have any new voicemails and I go to Menu > Messages > Voicemail, it just calls my voicemail. is there a way to make it show if i have any saved messages?
