Razr phones are so fragile...why would ANYONE buy one??

I JUST got rid of that one today...I got a new version of it. You could drop an a900 off a roof and it wouldn't even get a scratch

I have a razr on the sprint network. Best phone ever owned PERIOD. Dropped a few times, no scratches. Runs for 3 days before needing a charge and then it charges in an hour or two. Clear, loud ringtones, and can use mp3s as ringtones as well. Takes decent pics, and folds very flat so you can put it in your pocket. No need to hang it off your belt. I think I got an uber battery with mine because I have friends who have the phone who have to charge theirs every night.

The phone is a very very good phone. As with all things, if you take care of your posessions, they will last forever.

You an your friend play catch with your cell phone? I have mine over a year, its not the best phone I had, but it didn't break down. I dropped my phone to concrete floor about 3-4 times.

So no, its not fragile at all. Unless you play baseball or catch with your cell phones. Which is probably why your friend's phone keep breaking. GJ idiots.

I had the Verizon V3c for nearly two years without a single issue with it.

I sold it to my friend and he's still using it without any issues at all also.

I suspect mine was run over too judging by the dented battery cover and the deep scratches on the case. It didn't crack the camera or the LCD but there is a chip out of the camera lens. No plastic phone would have stood up to that. I'm certain of it.

I think you're just jealous. I've had my RAZR for two years, and I've dropped it plenty of times, indoors and outdoors, from all different height levels. And it still works perfectly. My only complaint is that the battery is starting to weaken now after two years, but thats normal for cell phones.

You don't know what you're talking about. This is the best cell phone I've ever bought. Most of my friends have this phone also, and they have no complaints.

Mine has taken 2 5 ft drops onto concrete. I have a little scratch.
My friend ran his over with his 454SS pickup truck. He replaced the main LCD screen, and it worked like a champ after that.

I've had a V3c since January 2006 without incident, and on balance it's the best phone I've had (including a couple of Startacs and a couple of Samsung A-series). My only beef with it is that it seems especially slick, and sometimes falls out of my hand (as odd as that sounds).

Exactly, my Razr took a licking but kept on ticking. Numerous drops and flings onto the cement. I switched to a new phone because I just didnt like the overall quality of the phone, not because it broke or was too fragile.

No kidding. I had an LG phone prior to this and I hated that fvcking thing with a passion. In your pocket it was very easy to accidentally press buttons and it would go from ring to vibrate or vice versa. The finish sucked and it looked like ass within a few months. I twisted that POS in two the second I got my razr.

Meh. Too many people here have way too low of standards for stability. A proper cell phone can be thrown to the pavement and not get scratch. Proper cell phones are plastic-clad metal and built like bricks. Bricks I say!

On a related note, Nintendo should build cell-phones in the style of gameboys. Built to be abused by a 5-year old and still survive.
