Razer Diamondback

let's hear what Maximum PC © says about this mouse:

If you're playing any games or doing any kind of work on the PC that requires precision, you should consider picking up a premium mouse. For gaming, we love the RD [sic]. Its 1,600dpi sensor captures movement at a whopping 6,400fps. No matter how fast we move the mouse, we can't make it lose its track. The included software has several gamer-specific features, including the on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment so you can automatically decrease the sensitivity for more delicate operations, such as sniping. Brilliant!
- page 32, April 2005 issue

They go on to mention that the RD is a wired mouse and recommend the MX1000 as well.

Thats a damn good idea to be able to auto adjust the sensitivity.... wonder why others havent come out with a similar feature.

I bought one but it just wasnt for me. It was more fast than precise and I dont play many FPS's. PM me if you want to buy it.

Save your money, if its the same version it was when I had one

its a ball mouse

Its not partcularly comfortable

It had no mouse 5 or 6 button

you can typically adjust mouse sensitivity in the games themselves

they went bankrupt at one point and stopped supporting it, I dont know who owns it now

They have a new optical version now. Not sure if they've added a 4 and 5 button though, which is something I have gotten too used to so I couldn't give it up.
