Have used 2 different Diamondback mice on 2 different computers with the same problem. When I reboot, there's a 50% the mouse won't come back on and I have to wait for the PC to fully boot, then completly shut it down and turn it back on to maybe get the mouse to work, has required 2 or 3 reboots at times to correct. 50% is a stretch but it does happen sort of regularly. All the info I could find said to turn off power safe mode in the usb hub settings, I did that and still have the mouse not want to kick on from time to time. Anyone else have this problem and know how to correct it?

Either your USB ports aren't getting enough supplied to them or you have a bad mouse. Have you tried using another mouse?

2 different mice, maybe 3 different motherboards. I'm assuming this isn't an isolated issue because Razer has info on their web site about the same problem and how to fix it. I just dunno how wide spread it is.

My plasma LE diamondback does the same thing

Just unplug and then plug it back in once it has booted into windows. Mine does it every once in a while. I always thought it was a driver issue.

Basically: Instead of rebooting try uplugging and plugging it back in until it is recognized by windows. Then install drivers

If your mouse is plugged into an external USB connection, like some LCD monitors have unpowered USB ports on them, my Microsoft Natural keyboard has USB ports that I use for my mouse, if you're using something like that try plugging the mouse into the USB ports on your motherboard.

Sounds like it's just the mouse, but never hurts to ask.
