Razer Boomslang -- $20 off... warm

I'd rather get the new BFG version. You buy a BFG FX 5700 Ultra and get a Sniper Boomslang (their version) free after MIR.

had a boomslang for 3 years about a year ago. they were good back then, but now with the logitech mx series they're totally obsolete.

I disagree. I have the MX500 & its no way near as smooth & precise as my 3 year old Boomslang 2100. In fact, I just ordered a new Boomslang Speed-its going to replace the MX500(fire button is sticking on my 2100). I dont even think the MX series is the best optical mice out there-best one Ive tried that came close to the boomslang is the logitech dual optical

Wow, Razor?s back in business, huh?

As for the MX500 ? you actually have to modify some registry settings to get it to work at the full resolution (for some reason it defaulted to half of it). I guess newer drivers and such might fix that. It was a long time ago that I installed mine, but you still might want to look into it. It?s more sensitive than the dual optical I?m pretty sure, but not as sensitive as the Razor.

Sort of, it's being sold under the BFG brand now. I bought the 2100 from bb.com and a 5700 Ultra from compusa to get the bundle deal. I didn't want the mouse, but for free, I'm not complaining since I'll get the $80 back and I already sold it for $50. 😀 Net price for the 5700 Ultra: $100AR + tax on $180.

You can also buy them from razer as well

I'll have to try one for my next system I'm building.
Anyway, right now I have the MX500 Logitech too, and it's smooth as silk for me. Never modified any registry settings. Also I have it on the PS/2 port with a PS/2 rate set at 200. How much smoother can a mouse get? Even when playing fast action games, I can't make my mouse skip.
