Razer Barracuda Question

I noticed that the Razer Barracuda has only SPDIF and HD-DAI on its panel. Does it also come with a separate panel for 3.5mm jacks for analog output? I saw on another site that it does.

Just to double check because there are two versions being sold on buy.com, and I want to make sure the cheaper one has it.

there should be only 1 version, a cheaper version is most likely just from a different seller

the 3.5mm jacks are provided via an HD-DAI adapter

I wish they had made the headphone the extension and just put the 3.5mm audio jacks the default back panel. I don't feel confident that the HD-DAI adapter is making a solid connection.

what's the difference if the conversion is done there rather than within the card itself?

if you're that worried you need to hook up your sound card and bypass it all via an optical out right to an awesome HT receiver setup...

Because it looks bad, and because the hanging 3.5mm female connectors sometimes make contact each other and corrupt the sound, so you have to put tape over the connections. It took me a lot of time to figure out where the problem was coming from.

And if I paid any amount for that kind of a sound card, I don't want to be forced to be on optical just because the design is so clumsy.
