That blows away any other alkaline deal I've seen by far, can't wait to get off work my HD has plenty in stock though.

Sweet! Heading to Home Depot after school; I had just made a thread the other day looking for cheap batteries in bulk. Our department will be purchasing enough AAA batteries for a few hundred graphing calculators. I can completely bypass the requisitions, budgeting, etc., and just pay out of pocket for them - for my own classroom/students, rather than department, keep the AA's myself, and let the rest of the department fend for themselves with all the paperwork.

All stores within reasonable distance to me are out of stock. Maybe this was a special holiday thing where it's not normally stocked so they want to clear any remaining inventory. Probably the employees grabbed them all once they found out.

why doesn't everyone use rechargeable enelope type batteries? yea its initial investment seems high but.. i dropped 75 bux on i dunno how many maybe 35? AA 2100mh nimh and have them charged ready to go in a cup and when one dies it goes in cup next to it and charge them when feel like it.. they stay charged at least 8 months-1 year and last better than normal batteries to me.. or is there something im missing?

checked prices.. Rayovac Platinum Rechargeable NiMH Batteries, AA, Pack of 96 for 120$ .. what am i missing cuz i like to know ;) but 40 bats for 3 bux sounds great to me for gifts and presents for others.. is that all you would use them for?

Because charging can be a pain. It's just convenient having a bunch of alkys lying around you can use quick or in pinch. And at this price you can't go wrong.

If you waited for this special, your $75 would have paid for 1000 alkaline batteries, instead of the maybe 35 rechargeables.

How long would it take to use 1000 batteries? I bet your 35 rechargeables become worn out and puny (don't hold enough charge to be useful) before you would have used up 1000 alkalines.

im sure you can recharge mine 100's of times.. so 35 really = AT LEAST 3500.. and i dont know where to dispose of the regular batteries so i should just throw them in trash and have them fill a landfill and leak into the soil? its super easy to just have a ton charged and when feel like it throw 4 to charge for 12 hours or how ever long they take and then throw them to the cup full of charged.. id be willing to bet $$$$$ the ones i have last longer than those brand new alkaline as well. (seems like it at least for my use in xbox 360 controllers and laser tag guns) guess i can google it now..

hmm so the ones at HD are Battery capacity (mAh) 2750 .. 2750? that sounds good.. since mine are 2100 or 2200.. good deal i guess but will get charged tax at home depot so 75$ = more like 82$ or more ;) /shrug id buy them for sure but they have non in stock around here. allthe good deals never are in stock that you guys list ;P
