I was thinking about getting a pair of Oakleys. I'm 17, with a job, but I can't afford Oakleys (especially when I'm on AT snagging deals..) so I figured I might get a pair of fake Oakleys (yes, It's all about the style at my age
). I was told by other Anandtechers that, lo and behold..there are consequences to these: including distorted eye vision, increased UV absorption, and such. So, I figure, go for glasses that aren't as expensive. I went to my Sunglasses Hut today and checked them out, and a pair of Rayban's caught my eye.
$55US for silver frames and blue lenses, not bad. But I'm not sure how Rayban is, b/c their site is crappy (Almost none of the images work) and I've heard the horror story of a guy who had to return his Rayban's. Any warnings/opinions?
If not, anyone know where I can get rebates or where I can get them cheap?
Thanks, Simon
