LOVE them? HELL YES!

Nothing better than a raw tomato with salt & pepper.

I'll eat one whole with a salt shaker in the other hand, or in slices or chunks.

Hell yeah, Boomer. LOTS of both salt and pepper. Or a TON of one and not the other. If I had raw tomatoes I'd eat them every day and die from sodium overdose.

Love 'em. When I use one for a meal I will eat whatever's left. Sometimes I eat them on their own. Either plain or with salt/pepper/olive oil.

Raw tomatoes are delicious. I have them in Caprese salad, in a regular salad, on top of my burger / sandwich. I am making a Caprese style crostini tonight as a side dish. Lightly toasted french bread, top with tomato and fresh mozzarella, put in oven just long enough to melt, and top with fresh basil and some evoo. Yum!

Yeah, this. What kind of salsa are you eating that doesn't have raw tomatoes in it?

I like fresh tomatoes with sugar. Cut one in half add some sugar to both halves, makes a nive snack. I'll have to try out the salt and peppers.

Lol. I like how the word hippy now includes people who like to eat fresh produce :D

It's not like people are talking about commune-grown tomatoes.

You just haven't had a good one most likely. The ones you get in the grocery store are devoid of flavor.

Yeah, they are barely good for sandwiches, and not even that sometimes. I didn't particularly like raw tomatoes just like that until I had fresh, homegrown tomatoes.

Well then Ill give them one more shot, because I cannot honestly say that I had a homegrown one. I know there is a night and day difference between home grown strawberries and store bought ones so we will see if the same holds true. The GF wanted to start a garden this year and she has a couple of tomato plants (but I dont know if they are ripe yet).

Yes, especially straight off the vine. Which sadly, I haven't had in many years. :(
