Raw bench press competition, woo

So for some reason still unbeknownst to me, I've let a friend of mine talk me into participating in a "raw" BP competition. And, as if that weren't bad enough, he's also convinced me to try and drop weight to make the lowest weight class (<165 lbs; was at 174.4 lbs as of last Wednesday).

I've never actually actively tried to "make weight" in my life, so it's been an interesting experience losing 10 pounds in the course of about a week. I'm quite positive it's not at all healthy, but eh, it's a once-in-a-lifetime thing, so I figure why not go all out.

Anyone who's participated in anything like this before, do you have any suggestions to help me try and regain some energy once weigh-ins are complete? The weigh-in itself is an hour before the competition, so I plan on bringing some gatorade and the equivalent of a powerbar or two with me to re-hydrate and get some energy. But beyond that, any thoughts/tricks of the trade/etc.?

I'm hoping to at least make a respectable showing with somewhere around 315-325 lbs on my best life. I don't plan on winning, but it should be fairly entertaining nonetheless.

Some friends of mine that are MMA fighters swear by orange pedia-lyte when they need to rehydrate.

Good luck with the competition!
